Lilies

Been concentrating on mono over the last week or two, and trying to visualise the subject in B+W before taking a shot, (not always easy!) thought this worked well, but your thoughts are most welcome.

It has worked well

Nice strong whites and blacks

Only thing I would do is to crop out the OOF lilly at the back and concentrate on the main one.

Nice shot Cliff,agree it is a pain not been able to shoot in mono but I try to look for highs and lows,a bit like my photography!!

I agree with Paul I think a crop would make a much stronger composition, and prevent your eeye wandering

Thanks for feedback. I was in two minds about the crop myself,but I see your point about the second lily distracting the eye.

The composition is good, as is the conversion to B&W, would have preferred to see a smaller aperture to add greater depth and sharpness - well taken.
Not everything in life is Black & White, If only it were!
