Last Red Rose
by Jimmy_Dean0
I took this tonight, Jan 05, after work. It was snowing lightly with just a hint of a breeze - enough to shake the rose and cause blur - so I ended up taking about 20 shots. The only available light was from the front porch light.

Thanks JudithAnn! Using the K-x makes such a difference compared to the old P&S I was using . It has opened up a world of new opportunities for taking interesting photographs. I borrowed the 50mm f/2.8 lens from a friend, and found that I had to close down the aperture a bit (to f/4.5) to get sufficient depth of field - f/2.8 was giving me a pinpoint DOF that just did not look appealing.
Thanks for the encouragement, and the lovely comment. It makes my day .
Best wishes for 2010 JudithAnn.

I love the position of your rose..and the fact that even in death, it has such beauty!
Also glad that you are enjoying your new K-x.....I wrote you a little encouragement to go ahead and buy the K-x in your ..just joined..forum; Looks like you did not need any at all!
Look foward to seeing many more photos, Jimmy
