Large Red Damselflies depositing eggs

I was quite pleased with this to begin with, but the more I look at it the more I feel there's something about it that's not quite right. Your constructive criticism is called for fellow users!

I agree with Tom! There are so many of these, but this is one of the exceptional ones.

With the benefit of hindsight, my original post could have been worded better. Fortunately Nezih, you were able to divine the reasons for my having doubts. As you rightly state, there are an abundance of images of this type and I had begun to doubt that in framing, capturing, editing (mainly to remove an unpleasant colour cast and add a small amount of selective sharpening) and cropping I had produced an image capable of 'standing out from the crowd'. The favourable feedback received from you both is therefore particularly welcome.
I believe that to be able to view one's own work with a critical eye is an essential step towards becoming a more accomplished photographer: a view that I'm sure is shared by many on this friendly, knowledgeable and supportive forum.
Best regards,
Jon

Thank you for this explanation Jon! I should add that another reason that makes it different is the reflection
on the water. We usually see them on plants or sticks, not on the water like this.
