Janet

by johnriley

Photography captures a moment in time and I think that it's at its most powerful when that moment has a personal significance. All the clever effects and deep thinking can be but nothing compared to the humble family snap. This is Janet, Sue's second cousin, who has now sadly passed at the very young age of 40. It's a long time since I shot this on my MX at a wedding and the negative has suffered a bit from colour shift, but it's a precious moment and one that will be remembered far beyond the mere technicalities.
