Spot on Steve
Just checked on the insect and it seems to be Ichneumon Fly indeed .
Well spotted, I am impressed with your knowledge of these little insects. Are you an entomologist?

The little guy has sort of a look of one carrying a heavy load...and is pooped right out!
Neat shot!

This IS an Ichneumon fly,a nice shot, a different camera angle may have produced a 100% sharp image, this is not always possible though.

Hi Amin,
Lovely shot
I agree with Jacko about the angle or a Smaller Aperture like F/8 will help

Thanks for the adviceHi Amin,

Changing angles was impossible, and that leaf upon which its perched was constantly moving due to the breeze so I had to weigh up between keeping a reasonably faster ss or stopping the aperture down and then either bump up the ISO or decrease the F stop.
Well, but who knows, may be different settings would have reaped better results, but thanks for the advice.
Much appreciated
