Really nice photo - I love the dark but not totally dark background, and the side profile of the portrait.

Perhaps the background could be lightened just sufficiently to make it clear that the distracting bit top right IS part of the drapes or whatever it is and not some stray item that may/ may not belong there? It's an absolutely super portrait otherwise.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
