Thank you Karl. The comment you make about the red is interesting. Pentax cameras don't do true reds very well as they tend to come out with a magenta tint. To get the tulip to be a true red tone I adjusted the red hue in Adobe Camera Raw and compared it to the actual flowers in the garden, this is pretty accurate to the true colour.

Cracking shot. Very nice.
I too am impressed by the authentic looking colour. The usual temptation is to overexpose and clip the reds in flowers, thereby losing the subtle details and pushing the colour towards orange or magneta. As you say, best sorted by processing raw.

I agree with all the above comments and what makes it special for me is the green ray of light on the left-hand side,complementing the red colours and the bee flying into the picture perfectly.
