Wide open and over 2 minutes exposure. That was either a wing and a prayer or amazing perception as to how it might come out - and I suspect the latter. That is one magnificent image.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

It was a calculated guess! Needed to get the ambient colour captured sufficiently to silhouette the foreground and fade the back ground in to the fog....
