Drizabone
A filthy day in Stanmer woods. Driving rain and gloom, lovely. A good day to test the Drizabone and Pentax WR. Both coped well.

This is an intriguing and well taken image, not straightforward; normally I don't post-process anything unless it is unavoidable and is not major; for sure I never embark on artistically transforming an image.
However this lovely image is definately something that could be transformed into a very beautiful, artistic and surreal image, printed on a something like canvas at a large size I can see it gracing any room.

Come and see the beautiful things I see in the ordinary world.

Yup, I would say you have captured the mood, reminds me of a scene from the 1960's Hound of the Baskervilles BBC TV series.
Cheers

I don't think I would do anything to process this image any more than it already has been. For me, the darkness, the dankness, the moisture, the shadows are its very essence and to try and 'enhance' it would not be appropriate.
It's not one that immediately 'grabs' in the thumbnail, but that's not what it is about. I don't think many of us would have taken this shot, it would pass most by.

David

I really like this image. The three trees on the left are probably unique in their shape and spacing. Expertly captured in conditions perfect to show them off. Sally

X2... Love the unusual, yet repeating, pattern... Less very definitely more here...

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Congratulations on POTW it is such a wonderful image and please forgive my rush of blood the other day when I commented on the endless artistic post-processing possibilities of this photo
When I thought about it later two things occurred to me, l am a bit of an "anti" when it comes to significant "image changeing" post processing and this is a very special photo so why change it into a psuedo artistic image , it is perfect as it is.
Best Regards.

Its great as it is and a very worthy winner of POTW title. The recession of tones, as in another of Adrian's recent woodland shots, is absolutely superb.

we dro9ve back from Horsham probably around the time you took this; the weather was pretty clear to the north of the Downs, but the clouds were hanging low over them and looking pretty angry!
