Dragonfly with CIF

by coker

Spent some time this afternoon "chasing" dragonflies at Langford Lakes Nature Reserve.
I think this is a Migrant Hawker Dragonfly.

Quite pleased with this but would be interested to hear any comments.

Roger.

I think this is absolutely brilliant. clear and sharp and while in flight, great to see how the wings work.

Roger,

Brilliant shot of my favorite insect.

Here in the wilds of Canada, they eat the dreaded Deer-flies, and are our heroes.

This is probably the best photograph of how those two pairs of wings operate!

Fantastic shot - the green shoots/leaf tips just add to the overall composition.

Thanks, all, for your kind words of encouragement.

Roger.
The more I look, the more there is to see!
