Wonderful colours and sharp shot, it proves it doesn't always have to be Macro.

Thank you for your kind comments. I'd spotted these beauties a few days earlier in a damp, shady corner of a field where there were plenty of nettles.

Absolutely spectacular shot Sally, superb in every way. I sometimes read posts on the forum from people complaining about the kit lens. I really struggle to understand what they are going on about. What a result!

Thank you, David. I've found the kit lens really good and I've learnt a lot with it. It seems to be useful in so many different types of photo .... and I'm still learning what it can do !

Nice vivid colours and the damselfly is so sharp against the nice blurred green background. This is a well taken close-up shot.
