Combs Moss

by sandinista

Combs Moss moor, a treeless expanse of heather, reeds, sedges and tussock grass suitable only for sheep-grazing and grouse-shooting, is 500 metres above sea level to the west of Buxton. This is a view from one of the many gritstone "Edges" in the area, typical scenery of the Dark Peak area of the Peak Disrict.

I like the way the outcrop on the left reveals the village in the distance.

Good strong colours and a dramatic sky.

A very fine landscape. I'd have been proud to have taken this.
Best wishes,

Andrew
