this is one of the most interesting macros I have since this year - very psecial composition with this complete straight body position

Don't know whether this helps, but I use the K7's liveview to get accurate focus on the subject, by zooming in on the LCD and then carefully focussing the lens manually, or using a focus rail to move the focus point in minute bits at a time
