Thank you for your comments, pleased to get some of you scratching your heads.

It is an in camera double exposure, composite mode - Average using a Pentax KP

The first image taken with the camera held upside down, I use the view finder and try to remember where things are, I then turn the camera the correct way up try to get things in the right place from memory and take the second shot, the camera creates a single RAW composite which I then edit in Lightroom 6
If you do as above but in Live View your first image is super imposed over your current view to help align your images. I tend not to use live view as the little batteries run down so fast.

The important thing is not being afraid to experiment and see what you get. I took about 50 images and only got about 4 that were of interest, sometimes I might take more and get nothing that works for me.
