Heron has just finished grooming his feathers, and has down stuck all over his bill. Rare to see him on a wharf.

I agree.

Doing this from a tippy kayak at 200mm is tricky, and I'm lucky to get anything at all!

Nicely captured Mac, I had one of these fly over the top of me in Florida it was only about 3-4 feet above me, it then landed about 15 feet in front of me and started to look for its evening meal in the sea with out a care about all the people on the beach.
