How do you always get the approval to plant your tripod in the middle of a church??

Hmmmm - my 14times grand uncle was martin Luther (honestly ) - so simply speaking - I just do it..... I can't help - it is in my genes hehe
I never would do this during a ceremony, which I totally respect as a spiritual moment (there I also don't shoot without tripod - I simply step out and come back at a later time and I do the same in all sorts of churches, temples, religious places). But when there is no ceremony I do take pictures. These buildings are also a kind of public place (I mean, just consider, how in most cases, these church buildings were once financed - the people payed for it, so it should belong to the people). I also respect, when someone comes to me and tells me that a tripod is forbidden. I think, there is not even a legal base for this, because you can't allow the general taking of photos, but not allow using a tripod (we all know the reason behind - you should not be able to make a stunning picture with which you might earn a few Euro ). But as I don't want to start an argument in a church, I go out ...... and put this building on my personal black list
