All Alone

This was shot at the side of a road that connects two major motorways, one that connects the city to Ankara, the capital, and the other one that connects it to Izmir and Istanbul. Might not be easy for some to see the tiny man, though. Thank you for seeing.
Happy New Year to you all folks and to all the staff of PU!

Happy and healthy new year to you and your family. 2014 WILL better for us all, I feel it.
A wonderfully minimalist shot, Nezih. Full of feeling. I do like the bold composition.
It's only a personal thing, but I do like to see trees, posts etc. anchored in the ground (perhaps this relates to some deep psychological need in me!)

I must have the same need, Andrew. You're so right. I had to cut it there as there was a line of kerbs in front of it that had to be eliminated to preserve the effect. I thought of copying and moving a bunch of grass to the end of the trunk, but somehow refrained from it. Thank you for the good wishes for 2014, I wish the same for you and yours.
