A Packed Lunch

by davidstorm

Last macro for a while, this one is with the K-x and Sigma 105mm F2.8 DG EX Macro. The spider (European Garden Spider) has caught an unlucky Hoverfly and wrapped it up for later.

Great title and a excellent capture, (excuse the pun).

great compo and lighting, David .. nevertheless I'd content with 1:2 even 1:3 RR; .. that's a question of delicate tradeoff between DOF and RR, given the f-stop (of course)

Thanks for your constructive feedback Nuri, it is always difficult to choose how to shoot this type of image, especially when time is very short; I only had a second or two to get this one as the spider quickly retreated as I was trying to photograph it (as usual). I do realise the DOF limits the amount of spider in focus, but I'm happy with the result

Best wishes
David
