A Little Green 'Un
by davidstorm
This tiny little green Spider had spun its web between some White Lavender in our garden.
First Macro of the season!
K-5IIs, SMC K55mm F1.8, Full set of Extension Tubes, Diffused Flash
PS: I've had a look on the web and I think I've identified the species as an Arianella Cucurbitina, common name Green Orb Spider.

Hi Nuri, just experimenting - I've never tried the SMC K55 F1.8 for macro before so I thought I would give it a go. I find that quite often the standard lenses on tubes are better than a dedicated macro lens. I also took some shots today with the Sigma 105mm DG EX Macro with tubes and they were not as effective. I've ordered a set of bellows so we will see what I can do with those....
Cheers
David
