A BW Rose in Quadtone

by GIULIO57

Camera PENTAX K 20D on tripod. Pentax zoom lens 18-55mm. Natural light only. BW conversion in CS5 and then Imagine-Mode-Quadtone: adding Black-Pantone Warm Gray, 11 CVC Pantone, Yellow M, Pantone Red 032M. I wanted to test such a workflow after reading a few notes on this technique (it adds depth and richness to the whole compo). It’s right, IMHO and it is more reliable after looking at prints of “such files”. I hope you like it and sorry I applied this path to a known photo already in this Gallery.

Hi Giulio,
PP is much better than ordinary Sephia! Cool.
PS: For sensitively photographing roses, there is "very strong cause"?::

Beautiful shot, i find changing colours does appear to show more depth and definition.

Very nice treatment, and I agree with Velimir, much nicer than sepia or standard antique look.
The lack of colour does give it more depth.

Beautiful and also beautifully processed. I have tried with quadtone and found it very hard to get the effect I wanted, but you have achived it so well in this image.
