For me, the 77mm Ltd.
Although at least, being a current lens, it'd be straightforward enough to replace.
Indeed. On this basis, mine would be the SMC-A 400mm F5.6. It's not all that rare in absolute terms, but it's the rarest (and for that matter, the most expensive) one I've got.

In that case it would be the 50/1.2 A Special! I doubt I would ever find a replacement. http://www.bdimitrov.de/kmp/lenses/primes/normal/A50f1.2-Special.html

No, it was only sold with the limited issue LX2000. Other than that, the basic glass is the same as the normal 50/1.2A. It doesn't feel as plasticky as some of the A lenses do and has a much smoother feel more like the Taks and early K series lenses.

There is a picture of it mounted on the body in this thread. https://www.pentaxuser.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5534

Last one I saw was from a certain german ebay seller who tends to be on the expensive side. I think he was asking about £2100 for the set. I didn't pay that much but it did take me a long time to find one. I just wish I could get the Titanium version.

That combination is rather attractive however I expect I'd need to re-mortgage the house in order to afford one (if it could be found for sale)!

I don't know what the situation's like in Australia but 'round here taking that out in the street would be like carrying a large placard saying "rob me"

The Gold ones are so "Passe". In any case, they are based on the MkI model not the MkII..

More on the gold one here: http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/pentaxlx/Pentax_LX_Gold/...
