Just remember these words from a famous comedian, "Happy wife, happy life". I think you are going to have to sacrafice for the TV in order to have the second part of that quote.

I haven't had a TV since 2002. Best decision of my life as 99% of the programmes are utter poo. If I really want to see something I watch it on BBC iplayer.

Best wishes, Kris.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Kris,

2002 must have been a banner year! It was also the same year I gave up TV permanently with the occasional peak at something using the internet. I rather put my money into cameras and computers. At least there is a creative element with those.

I agree, I have become more and more selective about TV. I only now tend to watch wildlife, the odd documentary and some sports programs.
On our recent short break in Cornwall my wife and I didn't watch a single program

Unfortunately the amount of wildlife programs is going to have to be reduced due to the loss of wildlife. Scientists believe it is due to some bloke watching them on a plasma tv.

MIKE LET'S BE HONEST. 46" IS BIG. NOTHING WRONG WITH 32"!? THEN YOU MOVE YOUR COUCH 2 FEET CLOSER TO THE SCREEN AND YOUR WIVE IS SORTED OUT AND HAPPY! THEN YOU BUY THE K7 WITHOUT GRIP 4 NOW SELL THE EQUIPS YOU DON'T USE AND GET THE GRIP. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU MAKE MONEY WITH PHOTOGRAPHY BUT IF YOU DO THATS YOUR BEST EXCUSE TO GET WHAT YOU WANT. I ALWAYS GET IT RIGHT. IF IT CAN BRING IN MONEY IT'S GOOD
K20D,24-90 3.5-5.6,50-135 2.8 + GRIP. SAVING FOR 60-250 F4

less tv = more time for sex, so unless your wife hates you, she'll thank you later for passing on the tv.

na it's gotta be option 2 for me, I hate watching TV, the only time our tv will be on is if we are watching a movie or playing on my xbox 360, and to top it all off we only have a small 26" the old sttyle tv the one that looks like a fish bowl.

It's not like enders or these bloddy soaps are even teaching anyone, they are just there to annoy us men, REAL MEN DONT WATCH SOAPS.

I don't know if Heartbeat counts as soap, but we watch it every Saturday night anyway. I am not an eager TV watcher, but I like the 7 o'clock News and the occassional movie, so I wouldn't like to be without one.

(Still on an old Philips 29" CRT set with 100 Hz picture. Lovely quality, hopefully it will last till the LED models drop in price. )
Best regards
