I'd love to watch one! We love watching the show on Sky of the days events! You've captured great emotion in the 2nd image with his face! Nice

'Here here' for continuous shooting mode! Its paid off for sure, with sharp captures and you've got a sense of the action and responses of the people. Noddy is brilliant, all 4 wheels off the ground

Thanks for the comments, appreciated.
Perhaps I should have mentioned all were taken on the K-3 with the16-85 lens which given the weather (rain was in the air) it proved a good combination.
Should anyone wish to see some more from the day they are on my site here:

Thanks. Yes it was great fun and free to all to see. I agree it would be great to join in, though my engineering skills wouldn't achieve anything more than a plank with four pram wheels! I suppose that's a start.

Although I haven't been to a live event, I have been watching some of the repeats of them on the Dave Freeview channel. These images indicate what great fun these races are and my favourites are 3, 4 and 5. They show not only the cars off the ground but also the interest of the crowd in the background. The expression of the driver in 4 is just great, as is the Stig's flat cap in 5!
Cheers.

Scarborough,
North Yorks.
The weather was very overcast but at least that meant I didn't have to deal with extreme highlights and shadows between the buildings.
Besides my recent weekly competition entry, here are a few more from the day.
The course began with a steep ramp.
