Just thought I'd post a few fern piccies taken last week in the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Cornwall. Would value c&c!

Taken with a mix of the DA17-70 and the Tamron 70-200

Some amazing ferny patterns there! I see you've gone for that approach, as well as using the backlightling. There's loads of different shapes to explore in this set, and creative angles. Sometimes definition has suffered as a result of the loss of contrast caused by the challenging lighting ..... perhaps a contrast boost or underexposure might help in some cases (eg 1, 6, ....

Thanks for commenting - appreciated.
Nigel - agree no 1 might benefit from a bit more of a tweak. No 6 hasn't made the transition from my PC to PU website very well - it looks flat on here! Maybe will give it a boost and try again...

Super. No 4; almost a tropical feel to it and no 8 - I do like a good into the light shot. Just lovely

Great idea Andy... Rather partial to no.s 3 and 7 myself, but the whole set is very imaginative...

All rather good photographs from an excellent location. Good choice of subject and play with light. No 9 is my fav.

It is an interesting set and my favourite is number 7 for its composition, colours, contrast and clarity. Perhaps clone out the bit of leaf in the bottom left corner?

Cheers.

Thanks all for taking time to comment; it is a great location and I would happily re-visit at some time! I might even put some more ferns up - from other locations!
