The M fits the K-7 and K-5 fine (just for reference) but no worries.

Mike does the "M" also magnify the image the same as the "A" , this is the feature that is the main criteria for me. could not find much detail on it. if it does then it would be fine, but is it for sale. if so send a pm please

Heres some info on them.

Quote:
•Refconverter-M shows a correct image and in addition has a built-in 2X magnifier that is activated via a sliding switch. It fits all K-mount bodies except the K-series.
•Refconverter-A is identical to refconverter-M, except for a slightly broader "field of view" so as to show the LCDs below the viewfinder in the Program-series bodies.

What Clarky's quote boils down to is that the A has a bigger hole in the end that attaches to the viewfinder than the M. It was because all the M series cameras had the viewfinder information down the sides whereas the A series had the info at the bottom of the viewfinder.

Hi - I know this is an old thread, but this may be of use to you:

Price seems high, but I think it's a new "old stock" item, so they may be open to offers.

I have been half-heartedly looking for one of these, but I was thinking more along the lines of £30

thought that would be about the price having seen a nikon or canon for around the £200 mark can,t remember which and thought pentax would be the same,so spent money on 35mm f2.4 instead. probably get more use out of that.

You won't get one for £30!

but £210 is ridiculous.

I have a Ref Convertor-A which is boxed and with case. I rarely use it, but I'm loathed to sell it as it's one of those things that once in a blue moon you say to yourself.... "I wish I had a Refcovnertor A"
