Hi, I'm keen to try out a K 28 3.5, has anyone got one for sale?

Thanks,

Sam.

I don't blame you. Great lens. I got mine for 100 euros off ebay, a minty. I also know of someone who found one for 40 euros!

They do come up every know and again if you are prepared to wait and look carefully.

Good luck with your search, it's a superb lens. The M version is much more common, so make sure to check any that you find to make sure it is indeed a "K" series, not just a "K-mount". The M version, while good, is not as nice as the K.

The M is very good; I wouldn't dismiss it. I don't doubt that the K is better, but if you look carefully you can pick up a nice M for about £30 and the results can be excellent:

Thank you John, very kind of you to say so. Actually, one thing worth pointing out about the M28mm F3.5 that is probably also true of the K variant is that the lens has virtually no distortion, as you can see from the horizon on the shot above. This makes it decent for architectural shots and also good for making panoramas.

Yes, David, you are correct in saying the K has minimal distortion too. I recently went round Manchester with just the K28 and it did a great job.

Thanks for the responses. I didn't have any idea how much the K version went for before posting, but have now realised that it's a bit out of my price range. Will keep an eye on ebay nonetheless, may settle for an M, still kicking myself for missing the good condition one that went for £18 a few weeks ago.
