TBH I wouldn't bother with that Sigma, you will get better IQ from the 55-300mm and cropping. The only decent 400mm they did was the macro version and they go for a lot more than £100.

Unfortunately due to my ever increasing age I have run out of grannies .. do you have one I could borrow?

However if you wait and are careful you might get your lens cheaper than £100. It may take time but be patient.
e.g. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SIGMA-400mm-APO-WITH-PENTAX-P30-/261059025674
Now whoever got that one for £77 really got a bargain - sold mine for £250 2 years ago!!

Do you think you'll get this for less than £100 Owen? I don't think you should have pointed the forum members towards this lens!

You might be right, OJS have a wait, just watch the members (some) here as they would sell their grannies if they could make a fast profit. Do you think you'll get this for less than £100 Owen? I don't think you should have pointed the forum members towards this lens!

I wanted it and had it on my watch list, but forgot the hour time difference in Italy. Logged on to see it had gone 45 minutes earlier for £77

I was unsure whether to post the link, but i felt it was a good example.
Ill keep my eyes open! and ill keep hunting down a good "bargain". i think im starting to sway back more to the prime lenses again. Just so i can expand my lens collection, and have some variance instead of just zoom lenses.
Cheers,
Owen.
