With or without mast?

IMG]I felt that the mast added drama by emphasising the proximity of the chinook, but it has been suggested it is distracting.
Which of the two do you prefer?

I prefer the image without the post. Still looks pretty close to me.

I prefer without. I find the mast distracting especially as it isn't immediately obvious what it is.

Definately the first pic.

I find the mast draws my eye to it and away from the chinook.

I like it with the mast and I would be somewhat alarmed if a Chinook ever came that close to the top of my mast

Without the mast for me. I think it makes the image too cluttered.

No mast for me too. If it was a bit smaller maybe, but that thing is enormous

I can see what you were trying to do and the second one's good, but the uncluttered appearance of no.1 is the better photo.
