welcome to the forum jospan.
I like photo's of grasses like this, however I feel it needs a focal point to make the most of the texture and colour, some thing to hang it all on.

Thanks justgetoutandride - or is it 'aj' :
I tend to agree with you - but after scouting around and trying different angles I didn't find any usable focal points. I could have let the subject slip, but I opted for a sort of abstract view with shallow depth-of-field (actually the main purpose of that day: shooting with my new f1.4 50mm-lens - testing the wide aperture).
I guess it's like painting your living room pink - it's a matter of taste whether you like at...and given the circumstances I kindda like the picture...shouldn't post it if I felt otherwise, should I?
Don't get me wrong: your critique is very wellcome...I see from your website, that I have a lot to learn from you...and that's a process I like: learning and being inspired.

I like it as an abstract, and I would think it would sit very nicely in a series of photos depicting dunes too.

Hi Daniel, thanks and great idea about a series of dune photos. I live in Denmark: we have no stunning mountains, wild rivers, rocky coastal landscapes...but we do have sand dunes...I should take advantage of that!

Great colours, really nice. May be just my simple self, but sometimes I don't think you need much more in a pic.
Been playing with this lens too, love it. Makes me want lots more primes

Thanks but don't use me as an example, there are much better photographers on this forum.

Agree with you there. I'll start ascribing it to 'my simple self', as you do, instead of on Attention Deficit Disorder
