Hi All,

Being a bit stuck without my cameras, and playing around with our new camcorder, I have taken serveral photos of my boy around the theme of this weeks competition (just trying to keep me self occupied till they arrive). Out of all the ones I have taken so far these two are my favorites but I couldn't wourk out which one I would've entered.

This one of my son being woken up early, (un-intentionally blurry but I thought it work well to enhance the sleepy feeling)

Or this one of him standing on a slide (I thought stairing gaze was quite good in this along with the blues of his eyes, the sky, tee shirt etc)

So which one would you enter? or are they both a bit rubbish ?
Comments and criticisms welcome

Regards
PaulM

I would go with #2 and crop it a bit tighter. Get rid of the white thing on the right hand side as well.

No 2 could be useable with some cropping. No 1, is a throw away for me. It's way too noisy and looks no more than a hurriedly captured, poorly shot, image to me, but then . . . he's not my son, and I can understand why you might want to keep it.

OK Paul, i see them now. Nr.2 is my favorite. Cute kid, although i would have liked it more if he was looking at the camera. Just personal obviously And yes, i think you should crop it in portret mode, and lose the white thing on the right.

Martin.

In all honesty it was a quick snap and nothing special but when I was looking at it I thought the blurry-ness (is that a word?) seemed to enhance the sleepy feel.

And for Clarky / Malo1961

Is this any better ?

Bit of a tighter crop and I've got rid of the white thing.

Anyway, thanks for your input, its frustrating watching all these competitions and not having my cameras here to take part

Much better, start looking for a nice frame and put it on the wall
