Winter geetings from Norway

We've had half a metre of snow for quite a while now, and watching the news tonight I understand that Britain also had its share.

The lighting in this shot is a mix of everything from tungsten to mercury, so forget about colour balance . I still feel it conveys a nice evening mood as seen from my living room.

Yes it's snowed in the UK.

Us up north are just getting on with it, the softies down south are all flapping about saying it's the worst snow for 18 years.

What they mean is the worst snow in London for 18 years and they don't know how to deal with it!

Nice photo by the way.

Finally! A positive outlook!

Down South:

Everything goes mad here with a few millimetres of snow. People panic buy, crash their cars, trains can't run (then again they stop if a leaf falls on the line too) and everyone acts as if is the end of the world.

Up in Yorkshire things didn't stop with a little snow. We had about 30cm about four years ago and everything still ran fine there.

I bet the world doesn't stop in Norway either with a few leaves or snowflakes.

Then again, the world could end and Yorkshire would still be there phased, undamaged and possibly unaware*...
