Hi Gareth, the first set are about the tree itself and its the monochrome for me as the foliage appears the strong element which i like. the second set is introducing reflections but one is fighting the other .so neither wins IMHO

Beautiful light indeed, and well captured. The B+W looks almost IR'd, and its starkness contrasts with the peacefulness of the coloured versions.

What a magnificent tree! I agree with Flan about the B&W being the better capture and for the same reasons.
