Shoot away!!!
All Pentax SLR lenses will fit any Pentax SLR model... with the exception of the K1. As that is full frame and to shoot full frame you need full frame lenses. It will take APS-C lenses too but not shoot in full frame.

Don't want to be pedantic. But, All Pentax SLR lenses will fit any Pentax DSLR model including the K-1. Because film era SRL's are full frame. It's only the lenses from the digital era, designed specifically for APS-C, that the K-1 is best used in crop mode with

Hi,
My question is as above. My ME Super has recently died, bought it back in ‘85’, served me well😊.
I have bought a K50 and am pleased with it. Will my lenses I bought over the years work with the K50 or am I going to have to start over again?
Any advise greatly appreciated
Regards
Ian
If your lenses have an "A" setting on the aperture ring, leave them on that setting, and you will have full control of the aperture from the camera e-dials. Hi,

If there is no "A" setting you can still use them but there are a few hoops to jump through.

But, you need to watch out for the Ricoh pin problem, which I know of but not in sufficient detail to fully explain, so hopefully another forum member can expand.
Essentially, with certain lenses, the pin that operates the lens aperture can drop too far into the hole where your camera's screw drive emerges and stop you removing the lens.
Before putting any of your older lenses on your K50, make sure you won't suffer from this issue. Research it, and/or wait for expert guidance on this forum.

Yes, John is right. It would help if you give a list of your lenses.

I've used Pentax M and K series lens without any problems on my K50 (alas now failed with the dreaded aperture block failure) so now used on a K1.
Is there no hope for your ME Super, what's the symtoms? I bought one a few years ago and used it the first time this year with great success.
Cheers

Yep, I should have said, the Ricoh pin problem, afaik, only applies to non Pentax lenses. The Ricoh reference goes back to film days when they made lenses. This has become a generic description; it also affects other lens makes.

The giveaway for Richo pins is the lens designation. If it says PK or PKA it should be OK. If it has an R after it - PKR, PK/R. PKA/R then don't put it on your camera.
