Wildlife tips needed for Minehead area please!

Going to be spending the bank holiday weekend in the Minehead area and planning to shoot some wildlife whilst down there, the only problem is not sure where the best places to look are!

Would love to come back with a kingfisher shot if possible, so would appreciate any recent sightings, but open to any suggestions, the more unusual or rare the better!

I'm off to Butlins at Minehead in a couple of weeks.

In mid March I spent a day on the moors just south of Simonsbath in the middle of Exmoor (the access land between Five Burrows Hill and Squallacombe) and there were Hen Harrier around. Spent some time just watching these amazing birds ranging at low level across the moor. Got no photos unfortunately (no telephoto with me).

But quite a drive from Minehead - and of course the merest hint of a location recommendation almost guarantees they'd be elsewhere if you made the effort

The Hen Harrier tip is exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for as I will be taking the big gun with me. The drive is not an issue as long as there is a target to aim at, so thanks for that one!
