Wildflowers

I went for a quick walk today with my DA* 300 + monopod hoping to 'capture' a few seabirds, but there were none around within a reasonable distance and the weather was hazy / misty, so I took a few images of wildflowers.

Does anyone know what No. 2 is : It is less than 1 foot tall.

All are uncropped.

Nice pics. Number two is a Pyramidal Orchid - Anacomptis pyramidalis and usually flowers March - May here, but probably later in UK.

Thank you Peter.

It is an amazing lens - bought for its long capabilities but capable of being used almost as a macro lens.

That's the way I'm using mine more often than not. Okay, not macro as such, but tight crops on flowers etc, and throwing the background way out of focus.

Will get round to posting some more examples at some point. Had a bit of an orchid-fest myself a couple of weeks ago.
