This is a wonderful moment. Obviously cut the tail off, right at the end. Maybe cut off a bit more so as to make it appear intentional.

But if photography is about capturing moments and memories, this is one to be really pleased with

Thanks Alan, yes it was a shame I cut the tail off.

I agree with Alan, Lovely shot and a little PP to shorten the tail will eliminate that distraction.

I really like this shot, a great capture. The only distracting things for me are the pylons on the horizon. Maybe they could be cloned out?

Nice shot Don

The improvements suggested above appear to be good advice IMO

That's a lovely image. Can I suggest you crop away most of the emptiness on the left, and cut a bit more of the tail off. Perhaps even crop it to portrait orientation.

Is it just me, or does it have a slight magenta cast to it?

No, that's one of the first things I thought when I saw the picture too.

(After 'ahhh, cute!' and 'is that wallaby stuffed'?

Beautifully taken shot.

The colour is definitely off, not sure if this is a WB issue or something else, but the image is very appealing.

I think that makes for a much better image.

Colour cast has gone, crop is just about spot on. I guess you could widen it a bit to make it more pleasing to you and bring in some more of those leaves from the right.

Perhaps you could try increasing the contrast of the background that remains.

Hi Don

I think I prefer your initial shot. This one is too tight. I like the environmental feel of the original.

Alternative I was thinking of would be a square crop with the RH side being cropped to remove the leaves from top and bottom right. Leaving the a larger portion of the main branch in shot.
