No go ahead, i was also thinking about that option but the cost of such system and the electrical bill doesn't make it a cheaper option then renting space at a server, i believe

I totally forgot the cost of electricity while running a home server. elsewhere on forum link I read that would be on average £7 to £9 a month depending on computer's power supply capacity ,that does not include running a broadband router etc.
Also My ISP does not provide the necessary static IP address require to run a home server so I agree that renting a space would be a good choice.

Just curious if any forum member running his/her own web server at home and hosting the website/portfolio/blog. I am thinking to get a .uk domain name and run a open source Apache web server on a low spec spare pc.
