Why no DPR reviews...
Best regards, John
Be that as it may, the K-3 is leading their poll on the most desirable DSLR of 2013: http://www.dpreview.com/news/2013/12/18/have-your-say-best-dslr-slt-of-2013-read...
Yes, that's why I was wondering about the review.
Considering how few Pentax people there are compared with the others, that's quite something.

10 years ago it was "the" place to go for the low down on any newly released dslr or compact.
The reviews could make or break sales and the Pentax models fared well with excellent reviews for models such as the K200D.
Now DPR reviews seem to be less frequent than previously and in my opinion the site is not the "first stop" it once was for prospective buyers looking for a pre-purchase review.
Imaging Resource is an excellent site with very detailed and comprehensive reviews along with an excellent comparison tool and I think has taken over the top spot from DPR

They would also do well to improve the dismal quality of their test photos.
Yes, they are CaNikon-biased in what they review promptly, which is unfortunate as people will buy CaNikon cameras even if they had terrible reviews (though no camera has terrible reviews these days). They are also highly biased towards micro 4/3, devoting far more time/space to the system that to NEX or NX. To give them credit, they do usually favourably review Pentax gear, though they tend to focus on what Pentax do differently from Canikon and gloss over what Pentax does much better than the competition.

i am also surprised by the K-3 lead in the poll, considering there are already 3000+ people voted. did all the pentaxian had a secret meeting to make sure the k-3 stays on top?

That happened on this very forum a few years back ... there was a poll on some web site (manufacturer based IIRC) where you could keep going back day after day to vote ... someone posted it on here and Pentax won by a very large margin.

Well, it's on the front page of the other forum.....

They have a review up for the Nikon DF already...
I quite like the DPR reviews though for some of the minority players like Ricoh Pentax, they can sometimes miss the point of a camera entirely, the bias of the author often comes shining thru but I don't mind that to a degree as I prefer my reviews written by people who actually might use the gear...
If we gave too much credence to reviews and reviewers we'd all be using Fuji X camera's and muttering about purity and artisitic vision...

Whats my motivation here???
Cheers Jules...

It's been quite a while now. I know they've done a K-3 preview, but I'd have expected the full monty by now.
