The news has only just hit, but £2149 isn't expensive compared to the standard edition. I don't see the K-1 as expensive either, it's still at its intro price and compares well with the prices of other marques.

I paid the intro price on day 1 which was £1599. Present SRS price is £1999 so it has gone up £400. Best ever price was £1499.

they seem to do it with all the top off the ranges silver k5 silver k3 silver k1 so suspect the k1 ii is on the way

Wasn't there a silver K3II announced/released early 2016?

Yes. But they are still waiting for me to buy one before they announce the new model. You could have a long wait.

Not interested in "bling". Would prefer Pentax focus on the K-3 mk 3 and more full frame lenses. I won't abandon Pentax however Nikon with the D850 is not making it easy.

JAK. I doubt it, it's not the same as Nikon's 100'th anniversary models which i believe are still on back order unless you care for a crystal mantle piece.

Besides apparently the only Pentax model slated for this year is the K-3 mk3 despite the delays , the K-1 is barely a year old as it is. Why make a collectors edition already unless Pentax is strapped for cash. Putting the K-1 out to pasture already perhaps?

I see there's now an SRS offer on the standard version of the same package.

If silver was standard and black the limited edition, then I surely would lust after one, and I suspect black would be more sought after than the spray paint 'silver' version. It's just not my cup of tea.

The last really nice silver model was, of course, the Marc Newson K-01.

Others may disagree.

Maybe I should withdraw mine haha

I'll wait for something more suitable comes along, a big wedge of cash for instance.
