Who'd Have Thought It?

I just wanted to share this shot of an Arum lily with you. It was taken yesterday with my MX-1.

Hand held and with the lens wide open to blur the background as much as possible, I was very pleased with the subtle detail recorded in the highlights.

Only a few years ago I couldn't imagine a compact camera being able to do this.

What do you think?

Great quality in the highlights, no doubt, and beautifully captured all round. You are certainly extracting the max from that little camera !

Super image Andrew, I think the skill of the photographer had a big part to play in this too

Thanks everyone.

I'll try not to keep droning on about this camera but if anyone is thinking of getting one, there's slightly better compacts on the market but none in the same price bracket can touch it. And there's been no replacement announced...
Best wishes,

Andrew
