White is SO last year...

After all the hooha about the white Pentax K-m (of which there are apparently only 200 in the country), I heard about a jewel encrusted one for sale in Harrods for about £2000.

Have googled and come up with this, but not sure if it's the one... : Before you all say "What's the point of that?!?", read the comment at the bottom of the page.

I was in Harrods just after New Year (don't ask!) and actually got to see this "in the flesh". It looks a lot better in real life than in the pictures if I'm honest, still wouldn't buy one but Mrs hefty1 was intrigued...

I have to say kudos to Harrods - there was a large Pentax display with examples of all the current lenses (including all the DA*'s, FA Ltds and DA Ltds) available to play with. In fact, Pentax had the largest (and most prominent) display of all the camera manufacturers with this jewelled K-m being right in the middle.

It's just a shame that the prices were all so high compared to other retailers...

Value for money aside I think it's very good exposure for Pentax, especially since Harrods had the largest diplay (kudos indeed Hefty!)

I'm getting quite annoyed with people deciding on Canickons and refusing to look elsewhere - to the point of utter bewildement that I choose something different. Maybe this is a stab in the right direction for Pentax.

I can just picture it......

Not as confusing as going out with the paparazzi and shooting Pentax! The stares I got were priceless!
