Very nice shots.
The White Admiral is a lovely butterfly and we are very lucky that they are quite common round here.

Excellent set. Last one is my favourite.
On a separate subject. Do you find either lens portable enough for birds in flight?
Yes they are all portable enough you just have to be quick and accurate with your aim.Excellent set. Last one is my favourite.

Thanks Gary, they're fabulous. Which of your lenses?
Those were all taken with my Sigma 500mm f4.5 EX DG.

Alan ,I have a 1.4tc but I tend not to use it/need it.
There is quite a drop in sharpness [I think]
No birds in flight with the 300mm,
What about this 300mm manual focus.
Having owned a Sigma 150-500mm I think the Sigma 300mm/500mm
lenses are different animals altogether.
I think if you tried one you would buy-it
It's a pity you live so far away because you could have tried mine.

Thanks again Gary. Very well done with the hoverfly. I think if I got a 300mm I'd also be looking for a TC for the increased reach. The 300mm would be something I think I could handhold, whereas the 500mm would cry out for a Gimbal.
I understand the 120-300 takes a TC very well. Just not in Pentax mount

This is another first for me.
These were found in a wood a few miles from me
First picture was taken with a K-5/Sigma 300mm f2.8 EX DG the rest using K-5 /Sigma 400mm f5.6 APO Tele Macro.
