Thank you all, I got a fair idea now what works besides B&W though.
This shot came out of the camera pretty well without much work.
#1 is so good as original, I shot it in raw but what I did was very minimal for RAW processing.
Image #1 is what came out from lightroom and #2 it has been worked on a bit more in photoshop.
But Mike, Mike & Huw, which B&W do you like?
Everything was on manual and since the flash is in your hand you can play with it, if you bring it closer the flash becomes brighter and you can play with the angles.
If you've a tripod and a light-stand I would use those but didn't had them with me.

Mat, I was using a K10D + DFA100 hand held and in my other hand a flash.I like number 1 for colour and 6 for B/W, with 6 my favourite overall. Lovely shot. What set up were you using?

Huw may I ask you why?
It seems the choice for the B&W differs very much per person, so would like to know a bit more.

Thank you Huw, that's a fair point and we can't argue about taste can we?

I like #2 the most and #1 is very close behind it but I also like the B&W of this but think colour is better for this photo.
Of the B&W I like the tones of #5 but now that I look at it I think I should brighten it slightly to so that it comes closer to #6.
Since there was a topic about photoshop.
#5 took the most work, it's a duo-tone with a curve in the tone but #3 has the most layers around 11 so out of my head.
#2 is what I normally do and that has 8 layers, that is with 3 adjustments layers.

Stefan, I like #1 in colour. Like you said, they came out nice from the cam then #4 in B&W. All good though

Colours I've pretty much figured out what work but not B&W since I love to tone them a bit.
What I like to know is which one you like more,
1 - B&W or Colour
2 - Which Colour
3 - which B&W
So here they come.
#1 Original

#2 Enhanced like the way I do with most photos

#3 Bold, just curious to see if you like this

#4 B&W

#5 Selenium

#6 Tone filter

I know the differences are subtle with B&W but one might catch your eye more then another.
Thank you very much for looking
