Which ND filter to get?

Hi guys, After the on location shoot last weekend I think I really want to add some ND filters to my bag. I need ND filters for my FA31mm, Sigma 18-50mm 2.8, FA77mm, and DA 50-135. I think I do also need to buy 3 filters for each of the lenses (NS2, ND4 and ND so I might cost a bit of money. Can anyone give me some adive that which brand is cheap and good enough? And does all the lenses mentioned above can fit a ND filter on?

P.S. The reason I want the ND filter is to use fill in flash in order to balance the sunlight with the subject while still shooting with wide apeture at 1/160sec.

I've too been looking at ND filters. I note 7dayshop have the rotating variable ones from £14.99. As well as quality questions I'd have thought thickness especially on wide angle would be the issue risking causing vignetting shadows in corners.

As to fill in flash I find turning the flash right down (often two stops) often solves the problem you mention.

No, I think you have missed my point. The background sunlight is too strong so I have to stop down to something like F11 at 1/160 in order to get the light exporsure right. With ND filter I can should perhaps F4 or F2.8 to blur the background and still have the fill in flash effect.

You don't give your location but I think I saw once that you are in Taiwan ? If so then Taobao maybe your friend or if not then www.maxsaver.net who I think are based in HK.

If you want decent but not top quality (i.e. B&W, Hoya etc.) then the better Kenko filters are very popular as are Nissin.

BTW - not all manufacturers label their filters the same way .. so look half way down this page for the table that will help you with that conversion : link

I base in London, UK. But I do go to HK once every few months.
