Which 5 Lenses

Maybe too many 50mm lenses there Ian, but the 50mm f1.4 and the Macro are of course for totally different purposes.

The 18-55mm might come in handy to go with a camera body when you sell to upgrade at some point.

I think you've been a bit too liberal with your '*'s. DA* 17-50 and FA* 70-200 :::

Being one of those odd people who still dabble with film I have also made a list of favourites when I decide to go out and play. My Top 5.

Look over the forum, it's an highly praised lens.
With an tamron 1.4x kenko 1.5x (be sure you get the one with PZ contacts) or with a pentax 1.7X, you will get 450mm or 510mm but the image quality is still a bit better then the 50-500 on the long end.

There are some test on the forum about this so look them up, and Mikep I believe have some amazing macro shots up with the lens.

My main lenses at the moment are the Pentax 17-70 and the Bigma. I am thinking of selling my 50-135* and getting the 60-250* which is the one I wanted all along. I can get by just fine with those three lenses.

The Sigma 10-20 will be sold shortly along with my Sigma 24-70 EX. I just don't use them.

If I could I might add the 300* to the collection, but I am still hoping Pentax will come up with something even longer. The problem with a long prime is that you can't always tell where an animal will be and if it is too close you can't fit all of it in.

Stefan, we women are quite capable of carrying these lenses - they weigh nothing compared to the weekly shopping or a three year old .
