Where to buy K10D new

Hi all.

I see the price of the K10D actually going up now... as it becomes harder to find.
I once saw (not a long time ago) the K10D at SRS for well under £400.

Where do you think I'll be able to find it for sale by July? And will it be too expensive?

I wouldn't bet on being able to get one anywhere by July, if you want a K10D now is the time.

I would not wait until July to buy a K10D. I bought one last week from SRS - body only for £369.99. Chris of SRS said then that they only had a few left, so if you want one don't wait.

The service from SRS was brilliant, thanks Chris, ordered online on Tuesday, delivered lunch time Wednesday. That is what I call good service. So I would highly recommend SRS to anybody.

I've not had a chance to use the camera in earnest yet but have been impressed with the feel of it. Reading the manual as much as I can, there's a lot to learn compared to the DL2

So go for it.

You'd better be quick. I got one from Park Cameras the week before last, but I see they've now sold out. I'd put your chances of you finding one in July are somewhere between negligible and far fetched.

Even now it'll be tough I reckon. I couldn't see any in the West London Argos branches.

My wallet says july would be a much better time...

And SRS has none available... I can only find it for over £ 400...
I might go for a used one... One close to £300. But I'd much rather have one new.

You could always try European sellers, even though the Euro is not favourable to you at the moment. There still seem to be a lot K10Ds available here in Holland for instance. So many in fact that the K20D is not falling in price as people are buying the 10 instead.

What do you not like about the K200d (£379 from SRS)?

i looked at the k200d and its very very similar to the K10d from what I could tell but for me the deal breaker was the poor continuous mode. Glad I went for the K10D, fortunately whilst SRS still had them.

Do you mean continuous focussing or shooting?

I prefer the size of the K10D, no AA batteries and some other specs...
