Afternoon folks , i'm looking to get myself some nice old glass ,24mm,35mm,55mm,100mm and so on . Now i'm not an ebay fan there fees leave a lot to be desired so i'm looking for alternative site/shops to purchase lenses from or indeed members on here .

Now in another thread i'd posted up on here i asked about the Sears range of lenses ,they seem to be fantastic value,i read about them on the Pentaxforum ,anyone on here heard or have any of the lenses.
Thanks
Sean

You don't pay Ebay fees as a buyer

I've found Ffordes prices a bit rich for me ,plus didn't find them terribly helpful on my last visit there, they seemed a bit disinterested that i was more interested in the older rather than the newer stock . That was a year or so ago .
Thanks

I have found, Cameratiks on Morningside Road, Edinburgh to be good.

I try to avoid it, because I always spend money there.

They usually have a good selection of the lenses you mention, nearly splashed out on a 100mm Macro recently, they had the M and A versions. I have the Sigma 105, but I was still tempted.

The old web-site didn't give away much, there is a new one coming, but they were always good on the phone.

I was in about 3 weeks ago, they had about 20 Pentax brand lenses and about the same amount of "Pentax Fit" lenses.

Hope that helps.

p.s. does The Red Lion still serve good beer ?
