Still nothing new. Haven't sold anything either.
His Nibs keeps saying buy a new camera, but a new camera means new lenses, and I'm just not taking enough photos to justify the expense.
Maybe if Pentax come out with something new next year... or maybe not.

Looking for an affordable and easily portable tripod I eventually settled for the Manfrotto BeFree Advanced aluminium lever lock travel tripod with 494 ballhead!
I would have preferred carbon fibre, but wanted lever lock so aluminium was the only option. On the plus side, this one cost £110 on black Friday from SRS, whereas the carbon fibre version is £280 so it was an easy decision.
A very versatile tripod, well designed and made, super ballhead, and very compact when folded down, so great for these outdoor excursions.

I'm sitting here setting up a new Samsung S8 mobile phone. My Mrs has had one for a few months and I have to say that the photos it can produce are impressive for a mobile, though it shares the main fault of all mobiles: a lens that's too wide to be a general use focal length (oh for a mobile with a 35 or 40mm equivalent focal length).

Or a camera that can make calls.

Dual camera smartphones are pretty good - not really printable but they can make some decent web-sized images.
Here's a mobile image that recently blew my mind...

I found a place that still has stocks of the Fuji "industrial" 100 ISO colour film so have ordered myself a half-dozen rolls. Found they had a bit of Adox Silvermax and Rollei RPX 25 (neither of which is very easy to get) so added a couple of each of them in for good measure (the RPX 25 in 120).

An SB-N7.
Well, it counts as an accessory, like I said in my previous post, doesn't it?

In red? Nice! Why that one over one of the cheaper ones?

Funny thing is, I spent an hour or so the other day trawling photography shop sites and nothing big appealed. Well not that I could afford. So I have come to the conclusion that my Christmas present to myself will be a handful of small accessories - lens-hoods etc. Ho hum...
