Nice photos and the way the Meercat looks back over his shoulder is nice.
The tiger shot is also pleasant to look at but there is a white haze or something.
One question though why don't you post it in the photo section :
And fill in your location please, don't know why but some forum members want to stalk you
ps. not me though I swear!

Yea great shots, was the Tiger shot through a fence or glass? I know the problem

Hi chaps - yep the haze on the tiger pic was indeed due to a wire fence being in the way - though I'm quite suprised at how much it was able to be hidden as I focused past it.
And be my guest; stalk away!
I'll post more then (probably tomorrow morning) - but i'm glad you like them...and i'm updating my location now due to popular demand....
p.s. I'll post other photo threads in the photo section

Hi Stefan...I just tend to focus on their heads without even realising really.
I think it's what we (as humans generally) instinctively look at first - animal or human; we seem to be drawn to a head/face initially, so I think it's important to try to do that in my photos aswell; otherwise I dont think they would feel right somehow.
But hey - I'm just a beginner. As I develop/get more experienced I imagine I'll start doing more creative shots - but at the moment I'm just getting used to operating at 300mm focal lengths - it's a bit of a new thing for me....and I like it.

Good set of images, I like the framing of the Tiger. Impressed with the quality of this lens for its cost. I think I will have to save up for one

Bizzarly enough; just as I had my 55-300 at the 300 end looking at some exotic birds; a sparrow sat in front of me just inside focus range - and for a very tiny bird i'm quite pleased to have got so close:
Sparrow
Tiger
Meercat
If you guys want me to; I can post some more.
