Weird clicking noise

I have just got my Pentax Optio M60.
There is no data card.
When I turn the camera on and move the camera to take a picture, the camera makes a weird clicking noise while it is in motion.
If I steady the camera, the noise stops.
It starts again once the camera is moved.
This noise does not sound good!
It reminds me of when my iPod had a fried hard disk.
Any ideas? Any comments?
My instinct is to send it straight back as faulty.

Just stick to the green mode, that stops my E50 clicking.

I only select other modes when I need them.

By the way, try the panorama mode, it's impressive!

Mustn't forget the Zenits, or folders, or...
